This page explains how to exercise your data rights with Digital Mind News. We keep this simple and concrete.

What We Hold on You

Digital Mind News is a read-only news publication. Unless you have actively submitted something to us, the most we typically hold is:

  • Server log entries — IP address, timestamp, URL requested, user-agent. Retained for 14 days for abuse investigation, then deleted automatically.
  • Cookie-consent preferences — stored locally in your browser.
  • Aggregated analytics (Google Analytics 4) — anonymised, no personally identifying data.
  • If you rated an article: the rating value, an anonymous session identifier, and the timestamp. Ratings are never linked to an identified person.
  • If you emailed us: the content of that email and your email address, for as long as we need to respond.

We do not run an account system, sell personal data, profile readers, or maintain marketing lists.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and comparable laws, you can request:

  • Access — a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion — removal of data we hold about you. For log entries and analytics, data typically already expired by the time you ask; we will confirm.
  • Correction — fix anything inaccurate.
  • Objection — stop processing for a specific purpose.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

How to Submit a Request

Email privacy@digitalmindnews.com with the following:

  • The specific right you want to exercise (access, deletion, correction, objection, portability).
  • Enough context for us to locate any relevant data — for example, an approximate date range of activity, the email address you may have contacted us from, or an IP address you used if you know it.
  • A reply email.

We do not require formal identification for requests that do not expose third-party data. If a request would involve disclosing data tied to a specific identity, we may ask for a reasonable proof of identity before proceeding, to protect you.

Response Time

We respond within 30 days. Most routine requests are answered within a few business days. If we need more time for a complex request we will say so in writing and explain why.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your data you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your jurisdiction. In Poland that is the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO). In the EU more broadly, the European Data Protection Board lists national authorities.
